Welcome to TrendyQ! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the TrendyQ mobile application and related services. By downloading, installing, or using TrendyQ, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using TrendyQ, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and TrendyQ.

2. Eligibility

To use TrendyQ, you must:

• Be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction)
• Have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
• Not be prohibited from using the service under applicable laws
• Provide accurate and complete information during registration

If you are under 18, you represent that you have received permission from your parent or legal guardian to use TrendyQ.

3. Account Registration and Security

When you create an account, you agree to:

• One Account Per Person: Create and maintain only one account
• Accurate Information: Provide truthful and complete registration information
• Account Security: Keep your password secure and confidential
• Responsibility: Be responsible for all activity under your account
• Unauthorized Access: Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these requirements.

4. User Conduct and Acceptable Use

You agree to use TrendyQ responsibly and respectfully. You may NOT:

• Harass, bully, or abuse other users
• Use offensive, inappropriate, or hateful language in your username or profile
• Cheat, exploit bugs, or manipulate the game system
• Use bots, scripts, or automated tools
• Create multiple accounts to gain unfair advantages
• Share or sell your account
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
• Post spam, advertisements, or solicitations
• Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or compromise the app
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Interfere with other users' enjoyment of the app

5. Content and Intellectual Property

5.1 Our Content

All content on TrendyQ, including but not limited to:

• Questions and answer options
• App design, graphics, and user interface
• Logos, trademarks, and branding
• Software code and algorithms
• Text, images, and multimedia content

...is owned by TrendyQ or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our explicit permission.

5.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of your profile information (username, avatar, bio). By using TrendyQ, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your username and avatar in connection with leaderboards and social features.

6. Points, Rankings, and Rewards

6.1 Virtual Points

Points earned in TrendyQ are virtual items with no monetary value. Points:

• Cannot be exchanged for real money or tangible goods
• Cannot be transferred between accounts
• May be adjusted for fairness, bug fixes, or rule violations
• Are subject to change or removal at our discretion

6.2 Leaderboard Rankings

We reserve the right to:

• Adjust rankings to maintain fairness
• Remove users who violate these Terms
• Reset leaderboards periodically (e.g., weekly, monthly)
• Modify the ranking algorithm

6.3 Achievements

Achievements are virtual badges with no monetary value. We may add, modify, or remove achievements at any time.

7. Referral Program

Our referral program allows you to invite friends and earn bonus points. Referral program rules:

• Referral bonuses are granted at our discretion
• Abuse of the referral system (fake accounts, bot referrals) will result in account termination
• We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the referral program at any time
• Referral points have no cash value

8. In-App Purchases (Future)

If we introduce in-app purchases in the future:

• All purchases are final and non-refundable unless required by law
• Prices are subject to change without notice
• Virtual goods purchased have no real-world value
• Refund requests should be directed to the app store (Google Play)

9. Advertising (Future)

TrendyQ may display advertisements. By using the app, you agree that:

• Ads may be shown during gameplay
• We may share limited data with advertisers (in accordance with our Privacy Policy)
• You will not click on ads fraudulently or encourage others to do so

10. Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the entire service
• Change game mechanics, point values, or question types
• Update these Terms at any time
• Require app updates to continue using the service

We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Termination

11.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by:

• Going to Profile → Settings → Delete Account
• Emailing us at support@trendyq.app

11.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these Terms
• You engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
• Your account has been inactive for an extended period
• We discontinue the service

Upon termination, your right to use TrendyQ immediately ceases, and we may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Disclaimers

TrendyQ is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind.

We do not guarantee that:

• The app will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• Questions will be accurate or fair
• Your points or rankings will be preserved
• The service will meet your expectations

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• TrendyQ and its affiliates are NOT LIABLE for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed $50 or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (whichever is greater)
• We are not liable for data loss, account suspension, or service interruptions

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so these limitations may not apply to you.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TrendyQ and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the app
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another person or entity
• Your user content

15. Dispute Resolution

15.1 Informal Resolution

Before filing a legal claim, you agree to contact us at legal@trendyq.app to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.

15.2 Arbitration (US Users)

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of TrendyQ will be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law. You waive your right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action lawsuit.

15.3 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [YOUR STATE/COUNTRY], without regard to conflict of law provisions.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

20. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and TrendyQ regarding your use of the app and supersede all prior agreements.

21. Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or our right to enforce it in the future.

22. Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account to anyone else. We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations at any time without notice.

23. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes:

• We will update the "Last Updated" date
• We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email
• Your continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance
